왜 만들었나
파일 하나 변환하려고 검색하면 대개 두 가지 선택지가 나옵니다. 파일을 서버에 업로드해야 하는 웹 서비스이거나, 설치가 필요한 프로그램입니다. 앞의 방식은 회의록 음성이나 계약서 사진처럼 남에게 보이면 곤란한 파일을 다루기 어렵고, 뒤의 방식은 한 번 쓰자고 설치하기엔 번거롭습니다.
솜규 컨버터는 세 번째 선택지를 만들기 위해 시작했습니다. 최신 브라우저는 이미 오디오를 디코딩하고, 이미지를 그리고, WebAssembly로 영상 코덱을 돌릴 수 있습니다. 그 능력을 그대로 쓰면 파일을 어디에도 보내지 않고 변환할 수 있습니다.
어떻게 동작하나
페이지를 열면 필요한 코드가 브라우저로 내려오고, 이후 모든 계산은 이용자의 기기 안에서 끝납니다. 오디오는 WebCodecs와 자체 Ogg 먹서로, 이미지는 Canvas로, 비디오는 WebAssembly로 컴파일된 FFmpeg로 처리합니다. 결과 파일은 브라우저 메모리에서 곧바로 다운로드됩니다.
열려 있는 페이지에서 필요한 엔진과 라이브러리가 준비된 뒤에는 오프라인 처리가 가능할 수 있습니다. 사이트를 오프라인에서 새로 여는 기능은 없으며, 브라우저 메모리와 코덱에 따라 처리 가능한 파일이 달라집니다. 결과물에는 워터마크가 없습니다.

About
Why we built it
Search for a way to convert a file and you usually get two options: a web service that wants you to upload the file, or a program you have to install. The first is awkward for anything private — a recorded meeting, a photographed contract — and the second is a lot of ceremony for a one-off job.
SOMKYU Converter exists to be a third option. Modern browsers can already decode audio, draw images and run video codecs compiled to WebAssembly. Used directly, that means a file can be converted without ever leaving the machine it is on.
How it works
Opening a page downloads the code it needs; from then on every calculation happens on your device. Audio goes through WebCodecs and our own Ogg muxer, images through Canvas, video through FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Results are handed straight from browser memory to your downloads folder.
Once the required engine and libraries are ready in an open page, processing may work offline. Reopening the site offline is not supported. Browser memory and codecs limit which files can be processed. Results have no watermark.

ファイルを変換しようと検索すると、たいてい選択肢は二つです。ファイルをサーバーにアップロードするウェブサービスか、インストールが必要なソフトです。前者は会議の録音や契約書の写真のような、人に見せたくないファイルには向きません。後者は一度きりの作業には手間がかかります。
SOMKYU コンバーターは三つ目の選択肢をつくるために始まりました。現代のブラウザは音声のデコード、画像の描画、WebAssembly による動画コーデックの実行がすでに可能です。その能力を直接使えば、ファイルを外に出さずに変換できます。
仕組み
ページを開くと必要なコードが読み込まれ、以降の計算はすべて利用者の端末内で完結します。音声は WebCodecs と自社実装の Ogg マルチプレクサ、画像は Canvas、動画は WebAssembly 版 FFmpeg で処理し、結果はブラウザのメモリから直接ダウンロードされます。
開いているページで必要なエンジンとライブラリを準備した後は、オフライン処理が可能な場合があります。サイトのオフライン再起動には対応せず、メモリやコーデックによる制限があります。透かしは付きません。

Por qué lo creamos
Convertir un solo archivo a menudo exige subirlo a un servidor o instalar un programa. SOMKYU Converter ofrece otra opción: usar las capacidades del navegador para procesarlo en tu propio dispositivo.
Esto resulta útil para una grabación de una reunión o una imagen que prefieres no subir. No necesitas cuenta ni instalación para usar las herramientas.
Cómo funciona
El navegador descarga el código necesario y procesa localmente los archivos. El audio usa los decodificadores del navegador, WebCodecs, un multiplexor Ogg y lamejs para MP3. Las imágenes usan Canvas y el vídeo, FFmpeg compilado a WebAssembly. Los resultados se descargan desde la memoria del navegador.
Después de preparar el motor y las bibliotecas en una página abierta, el procesamiento puede funcionar sin conexión. No se admite volver a abrir el sitio sin conexión. Los límites dependen de la memoria, los códecs y el navegador. Los resultados no tienen marca de agua.
